Description: In the project “Fort Da: From the Pleasure Principle to the Technological Drive” artist Renate Ferro (USA) projects her version Freud’s notion of separation anxiety.

Motivation: Combining home movies with captured video and sound, Renate Ferro juxtaposes Freud’s story recounted in The Pleasure Principle of Little Hans with short videos highlighting our dependency and obsession with contemporary technological gadgets that keep us toggled to our networks of family, friends, and acquaintances.
